After pushing Gingerbread update for myTouch 4G, T-Mobile will likely bring its T-Mobile G2 in the list of devices which get Android 2.3.3 update. We still don’t have any clue when T-Mobile plans to release the update for the G2.
A leaked Android 2.3.3 build for the T-Mobile G2 has surfaced and can easily be flashed to non-rooted devices. The installation process is so simple, you could be running Android 2.3.3 on your T-Mobile G2 in less than 15 minutes.

As always, we want to remind you that flashing official and unofficial ROMs can be a dangerous process. Make sure you read all the instructions carefully. Anyone who has a rooted T-Mobile G2 will probably want to pass on this build, since there is currently no way to root the phone after this update has been flashed. If any of you do happen to install this update, we’d love to hear how the process goes and what you think of the darker UI tweaks in Gingerbread.
