HTC EVO Shift 4G

HTC EVO Shift 4G Specification

flashmobileinfo
This relatively small, affordable 4G WiMAX Android smartphone sports a slide-out keyboard, HTC's Sense interface, 5-megapixel camera, HD video capture, and mobile Wi-Fi hotspot. Other key features include memory card slot, GPS navigation, FM radio and 3.5mm audio jack.
The HTC EVO Shift 4G cell phone looks really sexy, I like the Merge keyboard. I think it’s design and layout is better than these other desire like devices. I want is Shift 4G with a keyboard… I have too many emulators and playing games that were designed to use a controller on a phone with no keyboard sucks. Add a front facing camera, amoled, 2.2/2/3, 4 inch screen, and a better battery life then im in. The HTC EVO Shift 4G (Knight / Speedy) release date on January 9th 2011.

Toshiba Windows Phone IS12T

Toshiba Windows Phone IS12T Specification

flashmobileinfo
Windows Phone Mango, the next flavor of Microsoft's mobile operating system, was released to manufacturing (RTM) today, and the first handset that would arrive on shelves with it on board has just made an official appearance, namely the Fujitsu-Toshiba IS12T.
The new smartphone has just been unveiled to the world during a press event held by Japanese operator KDDI and Fujitsu-Toshiba, and will arrive on the market in Japan sometime in September.
The handset comes with a series of highly appealing hardware specs and features, its maker unveiled.

Powered by a Qualcomm MSM8655 application processor (most probably clocked in at 1GHz, the same as in other handsets out there), the new mobile phone will also hit the shelves with 32GB of internal memory.

The smartphone also comes with a 3.7-inch touchscreen display that can deliver a WVGA resolution, as well as with a high-quality 13.2-megapixel photo snapper on the back, with support for video recording.

The new Windows Phone Mango device also comes with a range of connectivity capabilities in tow, such as WiFi b/g/n or Bluetooth 2.1. Moreover, it includes the usual set of sensors, as well as GPS receiver.

The mobile phone is waterproof, just as previously rumored, and should arrive on the market in September in three different color flavors, including citrus, magenta, and black.

Unfortunately, the Japanese carrier did not offer specific info on the release date of this device, nor on the price tag it might arrive on shelves with.

In preparation for the mobile phone's availability, KDDI has published a series of videos with the Windows Phone Mango OS flavor in action.

Those interested in learning more on the next platform release, as well as on the just unveiled IS12T smartphone should head over to the carrier's website for that.

What remains to be seen is when other Mango-powered smartphones might make an appearance on the market, and what specs they could sport.
This fall, companies like HTC, LG and Samsung should launch new Windows Phone devices, while Acer, Nokia and ZTE are among those who will make their first steps in the area.

Nokia E7 2012

Nokia E7 Mobile 2012

flashmobileinfo
Nokia is the renowned name for it’s mobile products and the e-series phones at the top of it. The latest launch of Nokia E7 is going to be the toughest challenge for it’s rivals Apple, Blackberry, Samsung and LG. Having a quick look in past, in 1996 nokia invented the QWERTY-laden business phone and since then this invention never looked back with ultra modern technological e-series business mobile phones.
The Nokia E7’s peculiar looking keyboard, advanced features and anodized aluminum chassis going to make it the most demanded cell phone in the history. Now have a quick look at it’s basic as well as advanced features to know it more in depth. (According to me mobile phones are the best companion of human beings now a days, so why don’t we try to understand them more closely.

The Nokia E7 is essentially a longer and wider version of the Nokia N8, but manages to pack on a landscape keyboard to its 0.54” (13.6mm) sleek anodized aluminum casing. Just grasping it in the hand, there is this enveloping feeling that occurs because it’s meticulously well built all around; not to mention resilient in battling normal wear and tear. Furthermore, you can find the Nokia E7 in a variety of colors, from silver to flashy orange.

Taking a quick peek at the handset’s flat top side, we find its 3.5mm headset jack and dedicated power button perched on their usual spots.
In the rear, we’re greeted to the handset’s 8-megapixel camera and its dual LED flash, probably the same one we have on the Nokia C7.
Not to be forgotten, there is also a front-facing camera found next to the handset’s earpiece – along with the light and proximity sensors close by.
The E7 runs Symbian^3, the same PR1.1 release as just made public for the N8, though of course renamed PR1.0 for the newer device. That makes it instantly familiar to existing users, but also means it faces the same uphill struggle to convince would-be buyers that Symbian remains competitive in the face of Android, iOS and other platforms.

Nokia Windows Phone 7 2012

Nokia Windows Phone 7

flashmobileinfo
Nokia phones sporting the Microsoft Windows Phone 7 OS should be hitting shelves in 2012

Published on Apr 5, 2011
The first Nokia Windows Phone 7 devices will arrive on smartphones in 2012.
"Negotiations have progressed very well. They will be concluded well on schedule," Kai Oistamo, head of corporate development at Nokia, told Reuters on Monday.

Major service providers such as AT&T, Sprint, and T-Mobile already offer phones from a variety of manufacturers that feature Windows Phone 7 operating systems, however this pool makes up a feeble 5.5 per cent of the global smartphone OS market.

While there are over 11,00 applications for the Windows Phone 7 OS, and upwards of 36,000 developers working on new content for the Microsoft OS, the figures suggest that Apple and Google still hold an edge over the prolific software producer.

Microsoft hopes to use Nokia’s widespread influence in the mobile technology sector to inject its operating system into a larger share of the booming smartphone market.

Despite what some of those slate sellers might lead you to believe, Windows 7 is pretty terrible for tablets. I don’t care if you’re only interested in enterprise customers; the interface just doesn’t work for a finger-based usage and Microsoft kinda knows that. And that’s why they’re taking so bloody long to come up with an OS that works better for tablets.
Bloomberg is reporting that Microsoft won’t have a tablet-friendly version of its desktop operating system until 2012 at the earliest. More likely than not, this Windows for Tablets will coincide with the launch of a Windows 8 (or something like it).
Remember how hard it was for Microsoft to completely revamp its Windows Mobile vehicle into Windows Phone 7? You can expect the same dragging of the feet for a Windows Tablet OS. By that time, it’ll be in the same market as a second-gen PlayBook, an iPad 3, and probably some sort of Android 4.0 tablet.

What’s interesting, though, is that partnership with Nokia. If they’re working together for Windows Phone 7, should we expect a Nokia Internet Tablet with Windows 8 for Tablets too?

Google and Apple eyeing InterDigital

Google and Apple are eyeing to acquire InterDigital

flashmobileinfo
Google and Apple InterDigital
Once again patent war begins. According to Bloomberg, Google and Apple are among the companies looking to acquire InterDigital’s patent war chest. As you all know, Google recently lost Nortel’s patent bid at the last minute. Apple decided to join forces with Microsoft, RIM and others to outbid Google. Yes, these days Apple is palling around with Microsoft and RIM just so it can annoy Google.
Well, Nortel is not the only company out there with a massive patent portfolio. In fact, InterDigital’s patents are “deeper and stronger” than Nortel’s, according to InterDigital CEO William Merritt. The company has around 1,300 patents related to mobile technologies. That should be more than enough to fend off the patent trolls Android is facing.

It’s interesting to see Apple, and not Microsoft, really interested in blocking Google from acquiring any patents. Microsoft may try to capture these patents as it will be beneficial to them in monetary terms as they fetch lot of money from Android. But Apple doesn’t make money by preventing Google from getting these patents. Microsoft’s tactics is like every thing is fair in love and war, their intention is to make money only, while on other hand Apple’s main aim is to create hurdles in the way of Android.

Whatever the case may be, we’ll surely be following this battle very closely with hopes that Google manages to win. Lets see what happens.

Samsung Galaxy S II Tech Specification

Samsung Galaxy S II Launch
Samsung Galaxy S II is all set to hit markets of United States any time soon and possibly to become the best Android smartphone of the year. Market trend is showing that the winds are in direction of this second generation device. It may create threats to both the upcoming Apple iPhone 5 and a host of new generation Andorid smartphones from various manufactures.
There is a whole lot of Andorid smartphones available in the market with high-performing dual core processors like Motorola Droid Bionic, HTC Sensation 4G, HTC myTouch Slide 4G, etc. But Samsung may get the opportunity to lead the campaign against the forthcoming Apple iPhone 5 i.e. Android vs iPhones. Galaxy S II comes with an impressive set of Tech Specs which prima facia leads to iPhones.
The Galaxy S II was given worldwide release dates from May 2011, by more than 140 vendors in some 120 countries.

Not all regions are to receive the Exynos 4210 "GT-i9100" model. It is speculated that some would get the Tegra 2 powered version, the "GT-i9103." Similarly some regions may receive a 'Super Clear LCD' (SC-LCD) on the Tegra 2 version. Samsung has not yet confirmed which regions will receive the variant models. According to Eldar Murtazin, of Mobile-Review.com, this is believed to be because Samsung may not be able to meet shipment demands of both its own Exynos chip and Super AMOLED Plus screens. He writes that nobody expected the "huge success" and "sky high" demand for the previous Samsung Galaxy S.

The UK received the GT-i9100 (Exynos 4210 powered) and it is also well speculated that the North American release (USA with likely Canada as well) would also get the GT-i9100, Exynos 4210 version.
In the UK, Phones4U was the first retailer to have exclusive rights to release the device earlier than others. Initially the first UK release currently ship without the NFC capability (hinted possibly due to weight) but this is due to change with a later re-release of the same device with the NFC capability available.

In India, customers will be able to preorder the Galaxy S II online from May 26, 2011. The phone will be available at retail stores from June 9, 2011. Samsung has partnered with Vodafone to launch its phone at a cost of 32,850. Vodafone customers buying the device will also avail 1GB of free 3G data for the first six months. No NFC feature yet. The version sold in India is the Exynos one.

On May 9, 2011, Samsung announced they have received preorders for 3 million Galaxy S II units globally.
The version released on Sprint will be called the Samsung Within, on AT&T, the Attain, and on Verizon, the Function. It is speculated to be released in the US in mid-July.

On June 8, 2011, a Verizon Wireless representative was cited as saying that the Samsung Galaxy S II would launch on their network sometime in July. The same Verizon spokesperson, in addition to a second spokesperson, later corrected this statement saying that the July timeframe was in regards to the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 and did not apply to the Samsung Galaxy S II.

On July 13, 2011, Gizmo Crunch reported that the Samsung Galaxy S II would launch in Canada with Bell Mobility on July 21, 2011. Canadian launch dates for the phone with Rogers Wireless and Telus Mobility have yet to be reported.

On July 15, 2011, Headline News predicted a July 21, 2011 US release for the Samsung Galaxy S II with Verizon Wireless. Release dates for AT&T and Sprint have not yet been reported. This claim was later redacted on account of having misinterpreted information about the phone's release date on Canada's Bell network.
On July 20, 2011, Samsung announced that they "expect to release the Galaxy S2 in the U.S. market sometime in August."

Samsung Galaxy S II Tech Specs

  • 4.3 inch Super AMOLED Plus display with its unique display technology It has the capability to compete with Apple’s so-called Retina Display that you can be seen on iPhone 4
  • 8MP rear camera with advanced features. The camera of the new device gets an entire overhaul with better sensitivity, customization, white balance and focus features. It will also have a 2MP camera in the front panel for video chatting
  • This forthcoming giant will be priced at $599.95 without an agreement. With contract, the device will be available for just $169.95.
  • Galaxy S 2 sports a 1.2 GHz dual core processor
  • 4G/HSPA options, which will provide download speeds of up to 21 Mbps.

After pushing Gingerbread update for myTouch 4G, T-Mobile will likely bring its T-Mobile G2 in the list of devices which get Android 2.3.3 update. We still don’t have any clue when T-Mobile plans to release the update for the G2.
A leaked Android 2.3.3 build for the T-Mobile G2 has surfaced and can easily be flashed to non-rooted devices. The installation process is so simple, you could be running Android 2.3.3 on your T-Mobile G2 in less than 15 minutes.

As always, we want to remind you that flashing official and unofficial ROMs can be a dangerous process. Make sure you read all the instructions carefully. Anyone who has a rooted T-Mobile G2 will probably want to pass on this build, since there is currently no way to root the phone after this update has been flashed. If any of you do happen to install this update, we’d love to hear how the process goes and what you think of the darker UI tweaks in Gingerbread.

Nokia Windows phones in 2012

2012 Nokia Windows 7 phones Features

Nokia Windows phones 2012
As part of the Nokia-Microsoft partnership for Windows Phone 7, Microsoft had stated previously that it would allow Nokia un-restricted access and alterations to the OS as necessary. The result of that collaboration and Nokia’s customizations to Windows Phone 7 may materialize as early as 2012.
Smart House reports: “The OS will include “several new software upgrades, exclusive functions forNokia phones and software that will not be available for other manufacturers who licence the OS.”"

To ease user concerns that a large and material change to the OS code may hinder timely delivery of over-the-air software and firmware updates by Microsoft to Nokia Windows Phone 7 handsets, Nokia has stated in the past that it would not make any changes that would disrupt OTA update deliveries. That said, it’s unclear what the exclusive changes or features would be that may appear on Nokia phones running Microsoft’s mobile OS in 2012..

(Reuters) - Nokia board chairman said on Wednesday Nokia Windows phones will be on the markets from 2012 on and noted that Nokia had other potential partners in addition to Microsoft and Google.

Nokia announced last Friday it would partner with Microsoft and would adopt Windows Phone software across its devices, replacing its home-grown Symbian platform and turning the world's largest cellphone maker into a pure hardware player.

"These Windows-based products (will be on markets) from 2012 onwards," Jorma Ollila said in an interview with Finnish broadcaster YLE.

Nokia Chief Executive Stephen Elop said on Tuesday the firm was feeling the pressure and aimed to produce a phone running new partner Microsoft's operating system by the end of this year.

Ollila said Microsoft had not been the only option for Nokia and noted many companies had showed their interest in cooperating with the Finnish mobile phone maker.
"There were Microsoft, Google and our own choice (to continue alone). And in addition to these we also had other suitors."

He also said he had not been pressured by any shareholders about who should be Nokia's chief executive. Elop started at the helm of Nokia last September and the Canadian is the first non-Finn to head the firm.

Ollila repeated that he is available to work at Nokia board until 2012.
